I found a couple cute quotes from a website today  that might help someone understand what branding is.

Marketing begins with the customer. Branding begins at home.

Marketing is single-minded. Branding is a gestalt.

I think its important when trying to brand yourself that you keep your name out there, let people know that what you do can benefit them and that it can be an effective investment for them. Make sure that no matter where you go, meaning each social network, that you keep consistent with your message, I think people learn better if they see things over and over again, I know I do. So its important to join as many social networking sites as you can, and keep on the same track as far as your message your trying to get across. Someone will catch on and then you will have a rippling affect.

That’s what I have learned so far. I’m off to learn some more.
